PMS Interface – NEC InFIAS
InFIAS is an onboard middleware Application that is used in conjunction with an additional Front of House hospitality program which requires the translation of FIAS 2.21 compatible messaging in order to communicate with the SV9100 or SL2100 system
InFIAS can be configured and managed through WebApp using Web browser’s like I.E. Chrome or Firefox.
As it is one of InApps from NEC it is installed and is running directly from PBX SV9100 or SL2100, there is no need for additional machine to run FIAS protocol interfaces, which means less equipment in your server room, and one point less to worry for your phone system stability.
With release of InFIAS 1.7.7 it can support not only Opera, but also Hotsoft8 and Hilton OnQ – with the addition of the InOnQ plugin.
Wake-Up Call
InFIAS uses is not limited to only communicate and send Room Status, guest names, or call charges. It also operates Wake-Up calls, both set from PMS e.g. Opera / OnQ, and set from staff phone (or guest phone).
Number of wake-up calls as well as interval between them can be fully customized. Audio message when wake-up call is answered also can be replaced with your own.
In case of not answered wake-up calls by the guest. Your staff will get notification both in PMS and on NEC DT Phones set as operator e.g. reception desk.
We know that some Property Management Systems offers wake-up call as a separate module that require additional purchase… With InFIAS wake-up calls can be set using only NEC DT Phones, with give you more flexibility.
Configuring Languages
InFIAS provides support to select the prompt language of the guest mailboxes in the voicemail system. As PMS vendors may have different encodings for languages, here it is possible to define the two letter code used in the GL| – field of check-in message in the FIAS protocol. For each language, a custom code may be selected. The default codes are that of the NEC voicemail system itself.
Guest Call Charge Calculation
InFias software includes a module that calculates for each telephone call a charge based on call duration and dialed number. This is fully customized for every number prefix. After calculating a charge it will be send to your PMS system.
